Fancy dipping into an infinity pool and gazing out to the Indian Ocean? Well you can at Potato Head, the home of tropical modernism in Bali. It boasts beautiful green lawns, tropical flora and fauna, authentic architecture—designed by Indonesian architect Andra Matin and made using salvaged wood from round the region—and a restaurant. Jazz greats like Kumasi Washington often stop by, as do a wealth of other DJs and live acts.
Set on a sprawling four hectare estate amongst the rice fields of Canggu, this place is right on the beachfront. It’s pure paradise with an air of class and calm, sun kissed beauty and utter relaxation and has luxurious sun loungers, the usual palm tree lined pools and authentic local terraces, as well as a beachfront club that hosts magical sunset parties and has underwater speakers, day beds and plenty more including a Champagne Bar.
Sunset Sanato Beach Club, Vietnam
This is where the regions largest underground festival happens. Each December and January Epizode takes it over and brings world class names like Peggy Gou and Ricardo Villalobos to play on the beach. Sculptures line the site and add an extra air of mystery while the sunsets are to die for. Bars, dining and entertainment areas are also on site and are few finer places in there world to sip on cocktails, lay in hammocks between palm trees, or have the water lap at your feet as you lay on the warm sand beach.
Tanjong Beach Club, Singapore
This venue was styled after a 1950s beach resort so is classy throughout. It is bring style and sexiness back to the region with two bars, a restaurant and lots of white sand beaches, as well as some chill out spaces. It offers a break from the region’s concrete jungle, with great cocktails, infectious beats and a regular line-up of dance events including three Full Moon parties each year.
