We return with another 'Top Travel Essentials', where we delve into the suitcase of top artists from around the globe to discover what they really take on tour with them and the items they can't seem to live without.
We sat down with Ultra Records’ signee CADE to get all his essentials when going on tour and travelling. Having spent the last few months touring his live show to locations like Sherbeach Festival in Canada, We The Fest in Jakarta and Croatia for Ultra Europe, he has recently followed up this second half of the summer season with his new single ‘Yours’ that’s out now digitally everywhere.
Where and when did you go on your last trip & what's coming up next for you?
On my last trip, we started in Canada at Sherbeach Festival, then flew to Split, Croatia to meet up with Cheat Codes for Ultra Europe. From there, we flew to Jakarta where we performed at We The Fest with Rae Sremmurd / Troye Sivan etc. We did a day in Bali and made our last stop in Singapore for some press.
It was such an amazing experience. I’ll be home in LA for a bit to finish my upcoming EP, WOLF BLUE, which will be available this October, then will be announcing some more show dates to debut the album :).
What 5 items are the first in your suitcase when you're packing for a tour?
5 items that I MUST have when packing for tour are a neck pillow and a sleep mask for travel, my AirPods, vitamin C packets, and in-ears for performance. Those are my essentials!
What's your most valuable piece of technology for touring?
My most valuable piece of technology on tour are my in-ear monitors. The venue always provides our CDJ’s for performance, but I personally bring my in ear molds every time, which are fitted to my ear and have my logo printed on. I don’t go anywhere without them!
We all get that 5am hunger after attending a festival or show. Do you have a post-set favourite feed?
I get SUPER hungry after performing. My favourite go-to is pasta - specifically Alfredo with Chicken and broccoli. It always brings me back to life after a set. Lol.
You recently performed at Ultra Europe, We The Fest in Jakarta and Sherbeach Festival, any highlights from touring around these shows?
Yes! I performed my new single, ‘Yours’ for the first time in Canada and Jakarta, and it was so rewarding feeling the crowd’s energy when they heard the record. Before then, I had only showed the record to artist friends in the studio, so it was wild to see everybody’s reaction. Nothing better.
What do you most look forward to when you get home from tour?
When I get home from tour, I can’t wait to kick off my shoes, order food delivery to the house, and watching movies as I recover from the jet lag.
I also have a studio in my home, and there’s nothing better to me than having time alone to work on new music. Thats my favourite. Also can’t forget about catching up with friends & family!
